These six questions are the launch-week player tasks visible on the Steam discussions index, answered from first-party store categories, locale appdetails, the demo freeze note, and the 26 August 2026 launch announcement. This page is not a calculator. 283 discussion threads exist; only first-page player tasks became FAQ records. Steam reviews at the 27 August 2026 capture were Very Positive, 244 of 278; that aggregate is not an FAQ answer. See the current Steam store price instead of a frozen discount.

Six expandable official answers

Open a question to read the Steam-backed answer. The first row is multiplayer / online because that is the first FAQ control in the sealed interaction. Answers stay in first-party language: Single-player only; Full controller support; Simplified and Traditional Chinese on the 24-language full-audio list; approximately 30–50 hours for 160 main-story levels; demo app 4563350 frozen at 0. 4. 0; no first-party code list at capture. Screenshot 2 is the HUD still with Chinese loot labels. Screenshot 7 is ground loot. Screenshot 13 is an insect cavern fireburst. They illustrate the client you will install, not hidden FAQ flags.

Chinese official names are 暗影地牢 on both Simplified and Traditional store locales. Vietnamese and Indonesian store pages keep the English title Shadow Dungeon and are not among the 24 supported languages. Official QQ groups appear in the Chinese about text, including 1094254600. Those community IDs are first-party store copy, not this wiki’s chat. For platform flags, languages, and system requirements, continue to Steam Edition.

Steam’s category list for app 4423580 is Single-player. There is no multiplayer, co-op, or online-session category on the store record captured 27 August 2026. You fight the seven-chapter campaign, town stash, and Greater Rifts on one Windows client. Planned post-launch notes mention mercenary and tower-defense experiments; they are not shipped multiplayer.

Glossary of first-party terms

Greater Rifts: post-story endgame with Normal, Master, Nightmare, and Inferno difficulties. Paragon Talent Tree: unlocked after the level 100 cap in the full release. Treasure Sprites: helpers that pick up and salvage gear, including items stuck outside walls. Mythic items: store copy groups legendary and mythic as carefully crafted loot making up more than half of drops. Mystic Dungeon Challenges: named on the Steam complete content list without a mechanical breakdown. Blessing Shrines: 17 shrines plus gems, buff potions, and rare permanent elixirs. DPS Tester: can attack the player to trigger on-hit counterattack skills. Talent Skill Runes: 370 rift-exclusive talent skill runes listed in the launch announcement.

Those eight glossary rows are the sealed terminology set. They are not a bestiary. Boss names and HP are unpublished. If a later official post defines Mystic Dungeon Challenges, that sentence should replace the “named without a breakdown” line. Until then the honest glossary is eight terms with first-party definitions and no invented numbers.

Steam discussions at capture showed player-task titles about gamepad controls, demo versus full, difficulty, and volume. Those titles became the six questions. They are not a poll. Individual comments are not treated as general facts. The Very Positive 244/278 aggregate is the only review sentence this FAQ will repeat, and it is dated 27 August 2026. Length questions should read the 30–50 hour launch note, not a single “just hit lvl 100” thread title as a median.

Controller support is Full, not Partial. Chinese is full audio, not subtitles-only. Multiplayer is absent from the category list, not “coming in a patch” unless a new first-party post says so. Demo 4563350 is frozen. Codes were not posted. For languages, Cloud, Family Sharing, and the three-node timeline, continue to Steam Edition. For class aliases, continue to Classes. For the twelve tree titles, continue to Talent Trees. Screenshot 2, 7, and 13 on this route are the HUD, ground loot, and insect cavern stills. Expandable rows use aria-expanded. The first button is the multiplayer question, matching the sealed interaction.

FAQ interaction opens the multiplayer row first. Six questions cover online, gamepad, Chinese, length, demo versus full, and codes. Glossary terms are Greater Rifts, Paragon Talent Tree, Treasure Sprites, mythic items, Mystic Dungeon Challenges, Blessing Shrines, DPS Tester, and Talent Skill Runes. Discussions captured 283 threads and normalized four player-task topics. This FAQ does not rank classes and does not publish codes. Steam Edition holds languages and versions. First Descent holds the five-check first run.
